The WPI athletic department recently honored all of its 20 varsity teams which encompasses nearly 600 student-athletes at its annual awards banquet. During the festivities, twelve student-athletes were presented with major awards. These accolades highlight some of the best varsity student-athletes at WPI. These awards are presented to student athletes who excel both in the classroom and in their respective sports.

The University of Hartford is pleased to announce the following local students have been named to the Dean's List for Spring 2015.

To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.

Goodwin College's President's List for the Spring 2015 Session includes 317 students, all of whom scored a perfect 4.0 GPA.

The State University of New York at New Paltz has announced its Dean's List for the spring 2015 semester. Dean's List designation is reserved for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade-point average in a semester with a full-time course load.

Hofstra University congratulates the students named to the Spring 2015 Dean's List for their outstanding academic achievement. Students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 during the semester to make the Dean's List.

A talented cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University staged "Dark of the Moon" during the spring 2015 semester. The play, written by Howard Richardson and William Berney, is a chilling Smoky Mountain romance based on the haunting folk ballad, "Barbara Allen." Directed by Scott Plate, "Dark of the Moon" recounts the story of John, a strange "witch boy," who falls in love with the beautiful Barbara Allen.

A number of Eastern Students have been named as Student Orientation Counselors for this year's Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) program.

The largest graduating class in WPI's history, 1,680 students, received their degrees beneath a large, billowing tent that shielded graduates and well-wishers from the sun that occasionally peeked from behind generally cloudy skies. In all, the Institute awarded 956 bachelor's degrees, 682 master's degrees, and 42 PhDs during its 147th Commencement exercises.

Bucknell University has released the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the 2015 spring semester.

Approximately 1,800 students have made the Spring Semester 2015 Dean's List for academic achievement at Coastal Carolina University.

Students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2015 semester at Clarkson University.

Eastern Connecticut State University recently released the names of full-time students who were named to the Dean's List for the spring 2015 semester.

Based on his investigative documentary titled "Eastern Explores," recent Eastern Connecticut State University graduate Patrick Boyne placed third in a Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists (CTSPJ) contest on May 21. Boyne '15 was the only qualifier from Eastern for the CTSPJ's Excellence in Journalism Contest, and placed third in the video category for college students.

CREATE (Celebrating Research Excellence and Artistic Talent at Eastern), the premier undergraduate research and art conference at Eastern Connecticut State University, held its inaugural event at the end of the 2014–15 academic year. By providing exemplary students of all majors an on-campus venue to present their research and creative work, CREATE was the culmination of the academic year, as well as the beginning of a new era.

The following Bucknell University students were inducted into honor societies.

The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differ from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.

The following students graduated from the University of New Hampshire during the Commencement Ceremony held Saturday, May 16, 2015 in Durham, N.H. Students who received the honor of Summa Cum Laude graduated with a GPA of 3.7-4.0; students who received the honor of Magna Cum Laude graduated with a GPA of 3.50-3.69; and students who received the honor of Cum Laude graduated with a GPA of 3.2-3.49.

To qualify for the Dean's List, students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours in graded courses.

A number of Eastern Connecticut State University students were recently inducted into the Upsilon Pi Epsilon computer science honor society.

Eastern Connecticut State University's chapter of the Psi Chi psychology honor society inducted new members during the Spring 2015 semester.

A number of Eastern Visual Arts majors received awards at the Student Awards and Recognition gathering that was held during the opening reception for the annual Senior Art Exhibition.

Twenty of Eastern Connecticut State University's highest-achieving students were recognized at the Honors Program Senior Reception on May 9. This year's honors theses--the program's capstone experience--ranged in topics from mathematical and biological studies to documentaries and investigations into the occult.

Eastern Connecticut State University's 125th Commencement took place at the XL Center in Hartford on May 12. In all, 1,130 undergraduates and 70 graduate students earned their degrees.
